Hello Arn,
My name is Denis Gionet. I am a MSTS user from Canada for some years now.I have discovered the Nordyn route only this year via another MSTS colleague from Australia. I have downloaded it and enjoy it as well. I have discovered that some of the sidings inside the route are unmarked and would like to have your permission to release an update to your route which includes adding names to 25 unmarked sidings. The newly marked sidings are located in Middelfart, Bogense, Brenderup, Odense and Kerteminde. I have a specific reason to ask for your permission.
I have been creating, since early 2007, route templates for the MSTS Activity Generator (AG) software from Skylinecomputing. The purpose of AG is to allow users of AG to create their own activities without using the MSTS Activity Editor (AE). Users can choose where they can start or end their activity, where they want to pickup or setout cars, just like any other activity, or even change engines to start the activity. You can decide exactly which sidings you want to do work on.
As we know, it takes time and lots of testing to create one single activity. Before making templates,I have created about 20 activities for MSTS some years ago and can confirm this as it takes time and lots of effort for one single activity. Once the activity is finished, users look for other activities from the same route. Many routes do not have that many activities and some require many downloads for one acitvity. This is where the Activity Generator comes in. You can create shorter or longer activities, change time of the day or season, etc. You can imagine the possibilities in making personalized activities. It may take some used to to get familiar with the basics of AG but once done, you will enjoy at its fullest what AG can give. And as new routes come in, some of them may be futures candidates for AG like the one that has been done this year for your route the Nordyn. This will depend on how the route was built and especially the marked sidings issue (see below).
But to be able for AG to create activities for any MSTS route, a template for such routes must be built first so AG can use the template in creating such customized activities. This is where template builders comes in. It is a complex task but is a enriching learning experience in the world of MSTS, as much as the other aspects like route and rolling stock building. But one of the key elements in considering a route a good candidate for a template is that the sidings must be well marked and empty to allow template builders to use these sidings by putting markers on them and create the template.
I have already created the Nordyn Template earlier this year and would like to expand the template package to include these 25 additional sidings and increase the switching (or shunting) possibilities of your route.
If you want to have a good idea about AG itself, you can go to the skylinecomputing.com site and have a look at the software itself.
Myself have made templates for about 45 routes so far and I still enjoy doing this. Other than the North American routes, I have made templates for international routes from the UK, Germany, South Africa, Austria, Hungary, Australia, Italy, Switzerland, Poland, Russia, Spain, the Czech Republic, Romania and of course from Denmark.
I would like send you the proposed update package so you can see for yourself what I am proposing.
Thank you for considering my request.

My apologies for the second post, not being familiar with the Danish language.
